D-Pad

• Left and Right on the D-Pad will cycle through ads.
• Up and Down on the D-Pad will cycle through the party list. (Essential for healers!)

Auto Targeting

It may be helpful to enable “Auto Target” settings to assist with targeting adversaries in mobs.

• To do this, go to Character Settings > Control Settings
• Under the Target tab, check the box under Auto Target according to priority.
• You can either prioritize by Line of Sight or Closest Range.
• Line of Sight seems to work better for melee players, and I’ve seen no noticeable difference when playing on a caster.

Extras

• With 6.11, they added the ability to turn on double tap ground-place actions on the controller.
• They have added a ‘stop at max distance’ for ground-placed actions (i.e. shukuchi).
• On PC, XIV will natively recognize an Xbox controller (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S).
• On PC, XIV should be able to recognize a PS4 controller natively, though without full touchpad functionality.
