Hunt Trains

Hunt Trains
Hunt Trains are created and organized by players, usually put together in a discord and party-finders, and shouted out in each zone they enter in-game. They are large groups of people who kill hunt marks together, so everyone can get the rewards.

Hunt Trains are very quick and when they are announced, Marks typically get killed within 5-7 minutes of spawn.

  • S Ranks are valuable marks. Netting the second highest amount of currencies for their relevant expansion (ShBr & EW). These require specific spawn conditions and have a 48-72 hour cooldown period.
  • A Ranks are tougher netting you a modest amount of currencies for their relevant expansion. They only have a spawn condition of a cooldown period of 4-6 hours.
  • B Ranks will only net you rewards if they are tied to an elite hunt bill. They do not have a cooldown timer and will respawn at another location on the map.
  • SS Ranks are the rarest of marks. They net you the highest amount of currencies for ShBrs and EW. They only spawn after an S Rank has been killed in the area and their relevant ADDs have been killed. Be extremely careful with these marks as their AoEs are lethal.

Hunt Train Etiquette

  • Do not say or shout, “LFG”. Instead, go into party-finder and look for a hunt party. If there isn’t one up, make one (be sure to check the “Limit Recruit to World Server” as Cross-World parties can not share rewards).
  • Don’t engage with the hunt until after it’s called; dismiss chocobos and minions to reduce load/clutter.
  • Double check the speed of a train. If the train is a “Bullet Train” be sure to be ready to move as soon as the flag is shouted out by the conductor. If it is a “Not a Bullet” or “Rally Train”, be extra careful in making sure to slow down on fighting marks as they are waiting for players to get through server congestion.
  • Bullet Trains are super fast. They will not slow down and if you are distracted, you will miss any marks that are called out. If a bullet train has left your area and you are not at your computer, it is best to bow out from the train.
  • Always thank your conductors and scouters at the end of the run!
