/sit
, stand back up, then use/gpose
.

The GPose Camera
The Camera
- You can move and zoom the camera in and out without it being tied to your character.
- Reset the camera in the top right of the interface.
Face Camera
- Forces all characters in your screenshot to face the camera’s current position.
- Toggling off will return the character’s faces to wherever they were targeting when they entered /gpose.
Character Display Settings
- Fifth option/button on the left.
- You can filter out other players, NPCs, minions (etc) in public areas!
- “Controlled Characters” will still show anyone on your friends list, but not people in a party that you are not friends with.
Experimenting
Lighting
- Your lighting is placed where your camera is.
You can put a light source anywhere that your camera can be. - Make awesome side lighting and back lighting, and you can light a scene from above without causing any overexposure.
Disabling/Enabling Motion
- Pause motion for every single character in your screenshot (which is the third button) or you can pause motion for individual people.
- Cycle through characters and choose specific times for each one to be paused.
- You cannot pause environmental factors (i.e.: falling leaves, spores, the moving parts on the a12s weapons etc).
Vignette
- You can add a vignette, called “Limb Darkening”.
The RGB sliders only change the color of the vignette. - Adjust the shape of the vignette to make it more elliptical as it initially starts as a circle.
- You can reset the Vignette in the top right of the interface, you can also reset the camera here.
Depth of Field
- Think of this as a background blurring tool that tries to replicate the look of more customizable cameras.
- It blurs out things behind, and sometimes in front of, your character; Make the main focus of your image the characters.
Filters
- There’s a decent variety of filters to experiment with.

Tips & Tricks
Always consider your light source!
- The game is FULL of super interesting and cool light sources!
- Thinking about where your light is coming from and practicing changing angles to get the coolest look is fun and helps make a good picture.
Composition is important.
- We don’t have to have our characters as the center of the image.
We have the options to move our camera all around and in and out. Making good use of this is super fun! - A good general rule is The Rule of Thirds! Basically, don’t just slap things in the middle of your picture.
Consider the background!
- There are so many environments in this game that look awesome! Make sure you find something that looks great!
- Paruse people’s homes!
- Check out housing twitters or websites!
- Check out the Sights of Eorzea Website
Unsynced Dungeons
- Go into dungeons unsynced and use the environments there too!!
- Open Duty Finder > Click the Gear Ocon in the Top Right > Undersized Party
Controller Users! - You can off-center the camera using the right thumb stick!
